Our firm is proud to sponsor Alexia - Live in Concert on World Refugee Day on 20 June 2019.

20 JUNE 2019

— Warsan Shire

As part of our firm’s corporate social responsibility program, we are proud to support Alexia -Live in Concert, a Cultural Event taking place in Nicosia (Costanza Moat), on 20 June on World Refugee Day, the day the world commemorates the strength, courage, and perseverance of millions of refugees

The event, which takes place under the auspices of the United Nations High Commission for the Refugees (UNHCR), will honour the refugee communities in Cyprus. Through music, the aim is to increase awareness, as well as to create a sense of belonging through integration.

Heavily influenced by Blues, Gospel, and Improvisation, Alexia will be accompanied by a quartet blending jazz, classical, and world music. Adding to this fusion of sounds, Alexia has invited several professional guest musicians, asylum-seeking/refugee children and young adults, and Cypriot children and young adults to share the stage with her.

Adding to the island’s fascinating cultural mosaic, Alexia will sing iconic songs from all around the world, in many languages.
